The Grading Scale
Score: 100 A perfect example, free from visible or magnified imperfections. The highest achievable standard.
Score: 95–99 Exceptionally high-grade with only micro-level inclusions under magnification.
Cards receiving a Provisional grade are preserved within the Archive yet fall below the established grade thresholds

Our Grading System
At George Gregorio Grading every card undergoes a detailed surface inspection guided by precision, consistency, and care. While our methods are proprietary, we believe in transparency and trust—here’s how our surface grading process works at a high level:
Precision Mapping
We divide each card’s surface into a high-resolution grid to ensure no detail is overlooked. This structured approach allows us to assess flaw location, type, and size with accuracy and repeatability.
Flaw Identification
Our grading specialists inspect for all common and uncommon surface flaws, including:

Each issue is assessed in terms of severity and visibility. Larger or more centrally located flaws carry more weight in the evaluation.
Weighted Deductions
Every flaw carries a proportional impact on the final surface score, based on its size, depth, and location. We prioritize surface integrity, recognizing it as the most defining factor in long-term preservation, clarity, and aesthetic value.
PROVENANCE
Every graded piece is accompanied by digital documentation through our Archive, ensuring that collectors receive not only a grade, but a complete and enduring record of the card’s condition.
Letter Driven Grading Scale
We use a custom, letter-based scale to reflect both precision and elegance. Grades range from Diamond S (Flawless) to D (Flawed), each with a distinct meaning and visual cue. Our aim is to go beyond numbers—to deliver clarity, luxury, and credibility in every label.

Made from high-clarity, impact-resistant acrylic, this slab preserves the card’s condition while offering a crystal-clear view from edge to edge. To ensure integrity and authenticity, the slab is ultrasonically welded — creating a tamper-evident, permanent seal. Features include: 1. Museum-grade clarity for unobstructed viewing 2. THE MAKER'S MARK The Maker’s Mark Discreetly engraved on the reverse side of The Pedestal™, the Maker’s Mark is your assurance of authenticity and craftsmanship. Each graded card is etched with: 1. George Gregorio Grading's signature logo, precision laser-engraved. 2.
